Enhance your travel experience to New Zealand by completing your New Zealand Traveller Declaration (NZTD) in advance. The submission can be made up to 24 hours before commencing your journey to New Zealand.

The declaration process should take approximately 10 minutes to finalize, with responses required in English. It is possible to make updates at your convenience until your arrival at the border in New Zealand.

Key information needed for the NZTD includes:

• Your passport details, contact information, and flight itinerary
• Your immigration status (if applicable)
• Specifics pertaining to your journey, encompassing recent travel history
• Declaration of items being carried into New Zealand, both in carry-on and checked luggage

Utilizing the NZTD application provides added functionalities:

• Efficiently scan your passport for seamless inclusion of passport details
• Create and complete multiple declarations, such as for accompanying children
• Access offline mode for entering details during flights or when lacking WiFi or data connectivity; online access is necessary for the initial submission or updating of a declaration

Upon successful submission of your NZTD, no further action is required. There is no need for document printing or QR code display. Your NZTD will be automatically retrieved when your passport is scanned at the border.
